Jyvaskyla

— 6 nights
Jyväskylä is a city and municipality in Finland and in the western part of the Finnish Lakeland. Step out of Jyvaskyla to go to Petajavesi and see Petajavesi Old Church, which is approximately 34 minutes away. There's much more to do: see the interesting displays at The Alvar Aalto Museum, go for a walk through Tourujoen Luontopolku, take an in-depth tour of Keski-Suomen museo (Museum of Central Finland), and brush up on your military savvy at Finnish Air Force Museum.

To find maps, other places to visit, and tourist information, you can read our Jyvaskyla trip itinerary planner.

Lagos, Nigeria to Jyvaskyla is an approximately 20-hour combination of flight and car. The time zone changes from West Africa Standard Time to Eastern European Standard Time, which is usually a 1 hour difference. When traveling from Lagos in August, plan for little chillier days and colder nights in Jyvaskyla: temperatures range from 22°C by day to 10°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Mon) early enough to travel back home.
