Riga, Latvia to Tampere is an approximately 5.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and ferry; or do a combination of bus, ferry, and train. Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
On the 5th (Wed), pause for some serene contemplation at Temppeliaukio Church, browse the exhibits of Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, then find your balance on the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, and finally hunt for treasures at Hakaniemi Market. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kamppi Chapel of Silence, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Helsinki Cathedral, then contemplate the long history of Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, and finally make a trip to Porvoo Old Town.

Although predominately an industrial town, Imatra boasts a long and impressive history of tourism, largely owing to its fierce rapids, considered to have been Finland's first ever tourist attraction.
On the 7th (Fri), take in the dramatic scenery at Imatra Waterfall, see human ingenuity at work at Imatrankoski, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Church of St. Nicholas, then step off the mainland to explore Malonsaari, and finally take in the architecture and atmosphere at Ruokolahden Kirkko.

Koli National Park
