An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Kopara Reindeer Park and Arktikum. Escape the urban bustle at Safaris and Syvasenvaara Fell. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Rovaniemi: Icebreaker Sampo (in Kemi) and The Provincial Museum Of Tornio Valley (in Tornio).
