Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Go for a jaunt from Rovaniemi to Ranua to see Ranua Zoo about 1 hour away. The adventure continues: find something for the whole family at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, pause for some serene contemplation at Rovaniemi Church, and don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village.

Helsinki to Rovaniemi is an approximately 4.5-hour flight. You can also take a train; or drive. When in Levi, make a side trip to see Lapland Hotels SnowVillage in Kittila, approximately Kittila away. Spend the 30th (Wed) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort.
