An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
On the 13th (Sun), take an in-depth tour of Arktikum and then don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square. Here are some ideas for day two: see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour and then don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village.

You can drive from Rovaniemi to Saariselka in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. Traveling from Rovaniemi in February, you can expect nighttime temperatures to be a bit cooler in Saariselka, with lows of -15°C. Levi

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Step out of Levi with an excursion to Lapland Hotels SnowVillage in Kittila--about 46 minutes away. Spend the 17th (Thu) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. There's much more to do: join the crowd at Icekarting Levi, get a dose of the wild on Lapland Safaris Levi, make a trip to Giewont Husky Adventures, and stop by Elan Ski Shop & Rental.

Getting from Saariselka to Levi by car takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: take a bus. In February, plan for daily highs up to -5°C, and evening lows to -12°C. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 19th (Sat) early enough to fly back home.
