An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Step out of Rovaniemi to go to Ranua and see Ranua Zoo, which is approximately 1 hour away. And it doesn't end there: get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Rovaniemi Church, engage your brain at Pilke Science Centre, and let little ones run wild at Angry Birds Park.
