An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 6th (Wed): don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square, take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, then see Santa Claus Office, and finally don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village. Keep things going the next day: see exotic creatures in open habitats at a safari tour and then get in on the family fun at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
On the 8th (Fri), grab your bike and head to Levi Ski Resort. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the next day: explore the activities along Pakasaivo, bet on your favorite at Icekarting Levi, and then experience rural life at Ounaskievari Reindeer Farm.

Getting from Rovaniemi to Levi by car takes about 2.5 hours. Other options: take a bus. In September in Levi, expect temperatures between 13°C during the day and 5°C at night. Finish your sightseeing early on the 9th (Sat) so you can drive to Inari.

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Start off your visit on the 10th (Sun): pause for some serene contemplation at Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church, then see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, and then get outside with Lake Inari. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 11th (Mon): experience rural life at Inari Reindeer Farm, get a taste of life in the country at Reindeer Farm Petri Mattus, and then get advice or help at The Sami Cultural Centre Sajos.
