Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Kids will enjoy Levi Ski Resort and Lapland Hotels SnowVillage. When in Levi, make a side trip to see Safartica Yllas in Yllasjarvi, approximately Yllasjarvi away. There's still lots to do: bet on your favorite at Icekarting Levi.

Newark, USA to Levi is an approximately 20.5-hour combination of flight and car. The time zone changes from Eastern Standard Time (EST) to Eastern European Standard Time (EET), which is usually a 7 hour difference. Prepare for much colder weather when traveling from Newark in December: high temperatures in Levi hover around 22°F and lows are around 8°F. Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Bring the kids along to Ranua Zoo and Santa Claus Office. There's much more to do: don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village, take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, and get curious at Science Centre Pilke.

Drive from Levi to Rovaniemi in 2.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus. In December, plan for daily highs up to 22°F, and evening lows to 11°F. On the 1st (Sat), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel back home.
