Jyvaskyla

— 7 nights
Jyväskylä is a city and municipality in Finland and in the western part of the Finnish Lakeland. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Leivonmaki National Park and Nyrolan luontopolku. Get in touch with nature at Pyha-Hakki National Park and Himos Ski Resort. Get out of town with these interesting Jyvaskyla side-trips: Vitikkala Manor (in Jamsa), Korpilahti (Oravivuori Triangulation Tower & Hoyry Galleria) and Petajavesi Old Church (in Petajavesi). There's lots more to do: see the interesting displays at The Alvar Aalto Museum, snap pictures at Karkisten Silta, take a leisurely stroll along Jyvaskylan Harbour, and make a trip to University of Jyvaskyla.

To see where to stay, other places to visit, reviews, and tourist information, use the Jyvaskyla vacation tool.

Amsterdam, The Netherlands to Jyvaskyla is an approximately 9.5-hour combination of flight and car. You can also drive. The time zone difference moving from Central European Standard Time to Eastern European Standard Time is 1 hour. Traveling from Amsterdam in June, expect a bit cooler with lows of 8°C in Jyvaskyla. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 12th (Sat) early enough to travel back home.
