Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
When in Helsinki, make a side trip to see Nuuksio National Park in Espoo, approximately Espoo away. There's still lots to do: learn about all things military at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, get engrossed in the history at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, take in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), and admire the landmark architecture of Helsinki Central Railway Station.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 8th (Wed): see Santa Claus Office, then make a trip to Santa Claus Village, and then Head underground at Syvasenvaara Fell. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 9th (Thu): get engrossed in the history at Arktikum.
