Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Helsinki Cathedral are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Escape the urban bustle at Pihlajasaari Recreational Park and Fagerö Kaunissaari. Take a break from Helsinki with a short trip to Kaitalampi in Espoo, about 34 minutes away. There's lots more to do: admire the striking features of Temppeliaukio Church, admire the masterpieces at Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma, get to know the fascinating history of The Esplanadi Park, and make a trip to Senate Square.

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Kick off your visit on the 28th (Fri): explore the world behind art at Turku Art Museum, explore the historical opulence of Turku Castle, then learn about all things military at Forum Marinum Maritime Centre, and finally see the interesting displays at Pharmacy Museum and Qwensel House.
