Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Kick off your visit on the 15th (Thu): relax and rejuvenate at some of the top local wellness centers, brush up on your military savvy at Fortress of Suomenlinna, get engrossed in the history at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Rock Church, and finally take in the spiritual surroundings of Kamppi Chapel of Silence. Get ready for a full day of sightseeing on the 16th (Fri): enjoy the sand and surf at Hietaranta Beach, take in the spiritual surroundings of Uspenskin Cathedral (Uspenskin Katedraali), then pause for some serene contemplation at Helsinki Cathedral, and finally admire the masterpieces at Kansallisgalleria.
