Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at The National Library of Finland and Kansallisgalleria. Change things up with these side-trips from Helsinki: Heureka (in Vantaa) and Porvoo (Cathedral of Porvoo, Porvoo Old Town, &more). There's still lots to do: learn more about the world around you at Natural History Museum (Luonnontieteellinen Museo), see the interesting displays at Mannerheim Museum, explore the world behind art at EMMA - Espoo Museum of Modern Art, and wander the streets of Katajanokka.

Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Start off your visit on the 3rd (Tue): identify plant and animal life at Visit Inari Safaris & Accommodation and then see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center.

Finland's third largest city, Tampere boasts an array of cultural offerings and a lively music scene.
Kick off your visit on the 4th (Wed): look for all kinds of wild species at Hatanpaa Arboretum, take in the spiritual surroundings of Tampereen Tuomiokirkko, then examine the collection at Vapriikin Museokeskus, and finally enjoy breathtaking views from Pyynikki Park and Observation Tower.

You can do a combination of flight and train from Inari to Tampere in 6 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Plan for a bit warmer temperatures traveling from Inari in November, with highs in Tampere at 3°C and lows at -1°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 4th (Wed) so you can drive to Turku.

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
On the 5th (Thu), take in nature's colorful creations at Kultaranta Garden, brush up on your military savvy at Forum Marinum Maritime Centre, then step into the grandiose world of Turku Castle, and finally buy something for everyone on your list at Turun Kauppahalli. On your second day here, examine the collection at Luostarinmaen Kasityolaismuseo, then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Turku Cathedral, and then get engrossed in the history at Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova.
