Kuusamo

Kuusamo is a town and municipality in Finland. Step off the beaten path and head to Pieni Karhunkierros Trail and Hossa National Park. Escape the urban bustle at Kiutakongas Rapids and Julma Olkky. The adventure continues: relax in the rural setting at Palosaari Reindeer and Fishing Farm, look for gifts at Riipisen Wild Game and Souvenier Shop, and see the interesting displays at Hannu Hautala Nature Photography Centre.

Helsinki to Kuusamo is an approximately 5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Sotkamo is a municipality of Finland, located in the Kainuu region. Kick off your visit on the 5th (Wed): take some stellar pictures from Vuokatinvaara, then enjoy the sand and surf at Hiukka, and then head outdoors with Kainuun Vaellustalli.
