Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Appreciate the collections at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Kansallisgalleria. Your cultural itinerary includes sights like Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Museum of Contemporary Art Kiasma. Kick off your visit on the 30th (Sun): take some stellar pictures from Otsamo Fell, then examine the collection at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, and then pause for some serene contemplation at Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church.

Fly from Helsinki to Inari in 4.5 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and bus. While traveling from Helsinki, expect little chillier days and colder nights in Inari, ranging from highs of 21°F to lows of 6°F. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 30th (Sun) early enough to drive to Kittila.

Kittila

Kittilä is a municipality of Finland and a popular holiday resort.It is located in northern Finland north of the Arctic Circle within the Lapland region. Start off your visit on the 31st (Mon): kick your exploration up a notch at Levi Ski Resort. Keep things going the next day: identify plant and animal life at Santa"s Cottage & Pet Farm, then get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, then wander the streets of Ounasjoki - River for activities, and finally bet on your favorite at Icekarting Levi.

Getting from Inari to Kittila by car takes about 3.5 hours. Other options: take a bus; or take a bus. In December in Kittila, expect temperatures between 23°F during the day and 9°F at night. Finish up your sightseeing early on the 1st (Tue) so you can travel back home.
