Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Start off your visit on the 5th (Sun): glide peacefully along the water with some of the best stand-up paddleboarding in the area, then admire the masterpieces at Kansallisgalleria, and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Helsinki Cathedral. Keep things going the next day: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Kamppi Chapel of Silence, then admire the landmark architecture of Temppeliaukio Church, then learn about all things military at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, and finally get engrossed in the history at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum.

Finland's third largest city, Tampere boasts an array of cultural offerings and a lively music scene.
Step off the beaten path and head to Vapriikin Museokeskus and The Parola Armour Museum. Go for a jaunt from Tampere to Valkeakoski to see Visavuori about 36 minutes away. There's still lots to do: contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Tampereen Tuomiokirkko, see the interesting displays at Mediamuseo Rupriikki, walk around Nasi Park, and take in the pleasant sights at Finlayson Area.
