Daughter of the Baltic

Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Mannerheim Museum. Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Sipoonkorven Kansallispuisto. Venture out of the city with trips to Nuuksio National Park (in Espoo) and Porvoo (Cathedral of Porvoo & Porvoo Old Town). Pack the 15th (Thu) with family-friendly diversions at Linnanmaki Amusement Park. There's lots more to do: take a stroll through Katajanokka, pause for some serene contemplation at Helsinki Cathedral, admire the masterpieces at Kansallisgalleria, and take in the spiritual surroundings of Kamppi Chapel of Silence.
