Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Take a break from the city and head to Stand-Up Paddleboarding and Kokkovuori (Bonfire Mountain). You'll explore the less-touristy side of things at Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Sapokka Water Garden. Step out of Helsinki to go to Kotka and see Maritime Centre Vellamo, which is approximately 1h 30 min away. There's still lots to do: walk around Kaivopuisto, get your bearings at The National Library of Finland, take a stroll through Katajanokka, and browse the eclectic array of goods at Market Square Kauppatori.

Cluj-Napoca, Romania to Helsinki is an approximately 7.5-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of train and car.
