An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
When in Rovaniemi, make a side trip to see Ranua Zoo in Ranua, approximately Ranua away. And it doesn't end there: get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Rovaniemi Church, don't miss a visit to Lordi's Square, and have fun at Santa Claus Office.
