Get out of town with these interesting Levi side-trips: Lapland Hotels SnowVillage (in Kittila) and Safartica Yllas (in Yllasjarvi). Spend the 28th (Tue) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
On the 31st (Fri), get all the equipment you need at Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort and then find something for the whole family at Angry Birds Activity Park. On the 1st (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: pause for some serene contemplation at Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel, get a dose of the wild on a nature and wildlife tour, then stop by Hippupuoti Gift Shop, and finally examine the collection at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Start off your visit on the 2nd (Sun): get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, get in on the family fun at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, and then get in on the family fun at Moomin Snowcastle.
