Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Change things up with a short trip to Ranua Zoo in Ranua (about 1 hour away). There's lots more to do: take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, get in on the family fun at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus, make a trip to Lordi's Square, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Rovaniemi Church.
