Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
Get out of town with these interesting Saariselka side-trips: Inari (Juutua Nature Trail & Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center). Spend the 4th (Fri) exploring nature at Urho Kekkonen National Park. There's still lots to do: surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour and fly down the slopes at Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort.
