Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
Start off your visit on the 3rd (Wed): see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center and then get your bearings at The Sami Cultural Centre Sajos. On the 4th (Thu), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore the striking landscape of Urho Kekkonen National Park.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 5th (Fri): look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas and then take an in-depth tour of Arktikum. On your second day here, get curious at Science Centre Pilke, then see Santa Claus Office, and then make a trip to Santa Claus Village.
