An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
On the 17th (Mon), fly down the slopes at Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy, stroll the grounds of German Soldier s Cemetery, then see exotic creatures in open habitats at Feelapland, and finally make a trip to Marttiini Store Old Factory. On the 18th (Tue), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: have some family-friendly fun at Snowman World Igloo Hotel, see the interesting displays at Santa's House of Snowmobiles, get curious at Pilke Science Centre, make a trip to Lordi's Square, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Rovaniemi Church, and finally get lost in a book at Rovaniemi City Library.

Step out of Saariselka with an excursion to Otsamo Fell in Inari--about 1h 10 min away.
