Start off your visit on the 4th (Mon): pause for some serene contemplation at Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel, then see exotic creatures in open habitats at Lapland Safaris Saariselka, and then find something for the whole family at Angry Birds Activity Park. Here are some ideas for day two: fly down the slopes at Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort and then stop by Hippupuoti Gift Shop.

You can drive from Saariselka to Akaslompolo in 3.5 hours. Alternatively, you can take a bus; or take a bus. In January in Akaslompolo, expect temperatures between -11°C during the day and -22°C at night. Wrap up your sightseeing on the 8th (Fri) early enough to drive to Rovaniemi.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
On the 9th (Sat), get a taste of the local shopping with Marttiini Store Old Factory, then look for all kinds of wild species at Wildlife Areas, then don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Office, and finally make a trip to Santa Claus Village. On the 10th (Sun), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: make a trip to Lordi's Square, take an in-depth tour of Arktikum, and then get in on the family fun at Moomin Snowcastle.
