On the shores of the country's largest lake system, Lappeenrata serves as the economic and cultural center of southeast Finland.
On the 23rd (Fri), step into the grandiose world of Sandcastle Lappeenranta, take in the dramatic scenery at Imatra Waterfall, and then step off the mainland to explore Lammassaari Island. On the 24th (Sat), you'll have a packed day of sightseeing: explore the activities along Saimaa Canal, then enjoy the sand and surf at Lempukka Beach, then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Joutsenon kirkko, and finally see the interesting displays at Lappeenranta Fortress.

Turku

Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
Get some cultural insight at Turku Castle and Forum Marinum Maritime Centre. Popular historic sites such as Turku Cathedral and Burial Site of Sammallahdenmaki are in your itinerary. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Turku: Rauma (The Church of the Holy Cross & Old Rauma). The adventure continues: get engrossed in the history at Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova, see the interesting displays at Luostarinmaen Kasityolaismuseo, soothe aching muscles at Ispoinen Beach and Sauna, and wander the streets of Naantali Old Town.

Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
