Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Do some cultural sightseeing at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Turku Castle. Bring the kids along to Katajanokka and Aboa Vetus & Ars Nova. When in Helsinki, make a side trip to see Turku Cathedral in Turku, approximately Turku away. There's lots more to do: admire the landmark architecture of Temppeliaukio Church, explore the world behind art at Kansallisgalleria, stroll around The Esplanadi Park, and take in the architecture and atmosphere at Helsinki Cathedral.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
