Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Visit Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum for their historical value. Temppeliaukio Church and The National Museum of Finland are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Get out of town with these interesting Helsinki side-trips: Santalahti Nature Trail (in Kotka) and Bellevue Beach (in Hanko).
