Helsinki is known for historic sites, museums, and shopping. Your trip includes some of its best attractions: brush up on your military savvy at Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, take in the architecture and atmosphere at Helsinki Cathedral, take in the spiritual surroundings of Kamppi Chapel of Silence, and admire the striking features of Helsinki Central Railway Station.

Kick off your visit on the 4th (Tue): grab your bike and head to Levi Ski Resort.

Fly from Helsinki to Levi in 3 hours. Alternatively, you can drive; or do a combination of train and bus. Plan for little chillier temperatures traveling from Helsinki in January, with highs in Levi at 15°F and lows at -1°F. Cap off your sightseeing on the 4th (Tue) early enough to go by car to Rovaniemi.
