Daughter of the Baltic

Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.
Visiting Nuuksio National Park and Stand-Up Paddleboarding will get you outdoors. Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Temppeliaukio Church are good opportunities to explore the local culture. Explore Helsinki's surroundings by going to Sipoonkorven Kansallispuisto (in Vantaa), Porvoo (Runeberg Park, Cathedral of Porvoo, &more) and Hiidenkirnut (in Askola). Next up on the itinerary: step into the grandiose world of Sea Fortress Suomenlinna, explore the world behind art at Kansallisgalleria, pause for some serene contemplation at Helsinki Cathedral, and learn more about the world around you at Natural History Museum (Luonnontieteellinen Museo).

Plan my Helsinki trip by asking Inpirock to come up with tips and suggestions.

London, UK to Helsinki is an approximately 6.5-hour flight. You can also do a combination of car and train; or do a combination of car and ferry. The time zone difference moving from Greenwich Mean Time (GMT) to Eastern European Standard Time (EET) is 2 hours. In August, plan for daily highs up to 24°C, and evening lows to 13°C. Finish your sightseeing early on the 6th (Sun) to allow enough time to travel back home.
