Finland's largest and most populated metropolis, the maritime town of Helsinki boasts varied architecture, a lively cafe culture, and plethora of picturesque natural delights.Popular historic sites such as Sea Fortress Suomenlinna and Cathedral of Porvoo are in your itinerary. Step off the beaten path and head to Seurasaari Island and Open-Air Museum and Mannerheim Museum. You'll find plenty of places to visit near Helsinki: Kotka (St. Nicholas Orthodox Church & Maritime Centre Vellamo), Hvittrask (in Kirkkonummi) and Porvoo Old Town (in Porvoo).
