Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
Start off your visit on the 25th (Mon): stop by Hippupuoti Gift Shop, surround yourself with nature on a nature and wildlife tour, then find something for the whole family at Angry Birds Activity Park, and finally get a taste of life in the country at Saariselka Reindeer Farm. Here are some ideas for day two: get all the equipment you need at Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort and then take in the architecture and atmosphere at Saariselka S:t Paulus Chapel.

Finland's largest and most popular ski resort, the fell of Levi provides excellent slopes and lively nightlife in an enchanting setting.
Venture out of the city with trips to Lapland Hotels SnowVillage (in Kittila) and Safaris (in Akaslompolo). Spend the 28th (Thu) on two wheels at Levi Ski Resort. There's much more to do: join the crowd at Icekarting Levi, tour the pleasant surroundings at Santa"s Cottage & Pet Farm, hit the slopes at Kids' Land, and look for gifts at Elan Ski Shop & Rental.

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Kick off your visit on the 30th (Sat): engage your brain at Pilke Science Centre, see the interesting displays at Christmas House Santa, then see Santa Claus Office, then don't miss a visit to Santa Claus Village, and finally get in on the family fun at Moomin Snowcastle.
