Inari is Finland's largest, most sparsely populated municipality, with four official languages, more than any other in the country. Start off your visit on the 17th (Fri): take in the architecture and atmosphere at Pielpajarvi Wilderness Church, see the interesting displays at Siida - Sami Museum and Nature Center, and then wander the wide-open spaces of Reindeer Farm Petri Mattus.

Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
You'll explore and learn at Santa's House of Snowmobiles and Rovaniemi Local History Museum. German Soldier s Cemetery and Kemi Church will appeal to history buffs. Venture out of the city with trips to Tornio (The Provincial Museum Of Tornio Valley & Tornio Church). And it doesn't end there: get engrossed in the history at Arktikum, see the interesting displays at Christmas House Santa, Head underground at Syvasenvaara Fell, and get in on the family fun at SantaPark - the Home Cavern of Santa Claus.
