Official Hometown of Santa Claus

An urban center set amongst the great Arctic wilderness, Rovaniemi serves as the capital of Lapland province.
Step off the beaten path and head to Fishing Charters & Tours and Ounasvaaran Hiihtokeskus Oy. Visiting Safaris and Napapiirin Porofarmi will get you outdoors. There's still lots to do: make a trip to Santa Claus Village and take an in-depth tour of Arktikum.

Brussels, Belgium to Rovaniemi is an approximately 9-hour flight. You can also drive; or do a combination of bus and train. Nestled among vast forests and fells, Luosto represents a small idyllic resort village set on the edge of Pyha-Luosto National Park.
On the 23rd (Thu), get outside with Arctic Husky Farm and then stroll through Kopara Reindeer Park.

Saariselka

Outdoor pursuits--ranging from cross-country skiing and snowmobiling to reindeer safaris and chasing Northern Lights--draw the largest number of tourists to Saariselka.
On the 24th (Fri), explore the striking landscape of Urho Kekkonen National Park. Keep things going the next day: fly down the slopes at Saariselka Ski & Sport Resort and then identify plant and animal life at Wildlife Areas.

Eschew the tourist crowds and head to Seven Fells Up and Yllas Ski Resort. Take a break from the city and head to Safaris and Off-Road Tours. Change things up with a short trip to Elan Ski Shop & Rental in Levi (about 50 minutes away).
