Sitting at the mouth of the Aura River, Turku is one of Finland's quaintest and most historically rich towns.
On the 12th (Fri), take in the architecture and atmosphere at Martinkirkko, thenwork off some steam at Ispoinen Beach and Sauna, thenexamine the collection at Kylamaki Village of Living History, and finally explore the landscape on two wheels at Bike Rental - by Carfield. On your second day here, take a tour of Forum Marinum Maritime Centre, see the interesting displays at Luostarinmaen Kasityolaismuseo, and then contemplate in the serene atmosphere at Turku Cathedral.

Helsinki to Turku is an approximately 2-hour car ride. You can also take a train; or fly. In June, plan for daily highs up to 20°C, and evening lows to 9°C. On the 14th (Sun), wrap the sightseeing up by early afternoon so you can travel to Kalajoki.

Kalajoki is a coastal town and municipality of Finland.It is located in the province of Oulu and is part of the Northern Ostrobothnia region. Kick off your visit on the 15th (Mon): get to know the fascinating history of Neristan (Old Wooden Town), see the interesting displays at Lassander House, K.H.Renlund museum, and then examine the collection at Pedagogy, K.H.Renlund museum. Here are some ideas for day two: pause for some serene contemplation at Kannuksen Kirkko, thencool off at Jukupark Kalajoki, and then get outside with Maakalla.
